Top 5 Social Networking Apps on iOS in Madagascar Q1 2024

In the first quarter of 2024, the social networking landscape on iOS in Madagascar saw some intriguing trends. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here’s a look at the performance of the top five social networking applications: WhatsApp Messenger, Messenger, Facebook, Threads, and Telegram Messenger.

WhatsApp Messenger experienced a consistent increase in both weekly downloads and active users. Weekly downloads ranged from approximately 490 to 747, with a noticeable peak in early March. Active users grew steadily from 24.1K at the beginning of January to 25.8K by the end of March.

Messenger also showed positive trends. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at 573 and ending at 753, with a significant increase in the last week of March. Active users showed a steady rise, starting at 42.2K and reaching 45.6K by the end of the quarter.

Facebook saw a varied performance in terms of revenue, peaking at $56 in mid-January and mid-March. Weekly downloads increased from 410 at the start of the quarter to 542 by the end. Active users consistently grew from 19K to 20.5K throughout the quarter.

Threads had a modest but stable performance. Downloads remained relatively constant, ranging from 225 to 308. Active users, however, showed a significant increase from 2.6K in early January to 3.7K by the end of March.

Telegram Messenger experienced the most fluctuations. Weekly revenue peaked at $27 in the last week of March. Downloads varied from 235 to 342, with a noticeable peak in early March. Active users, however, saw a decline from 10.1K at the start of the quarter to 8.6K by the end.
